The family includes Tom, Paula, and their three-year-old daughter Kerri, as well as Kerri's grandmother. Kerri opens her presents while the adults watch. Other parts of film include parade on Fourth of July in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and scenes from Martha's Vineyard. In the parade people of all ages dressed in costumes and marched with floats.
