Keyword Description:
Film starts with a trip to a beach by husband and wife and their child (Penney family), with clips of the boy growing up, most of which were shot in a garden. This is followed by footage of a family gathering where some women play badminton, people horseback riding, kids playing in the snow, riding bikes, and playing baseball. These clips are interspersed with scenes of the family on vacation, at a beach, in Washington, D.C., at Niagara Falls, at Disneyland, a zoo, and on a mountain top in Maine. There also some shots of a car, neighbors, and a Protestant church in Holden, Massachusetts. In some of the footage of kids playing there is an Indian girl included, who was adopted by the family. Footage also includes boys playing with toy guns, short clip of a battle reenactment, trees being cut down and the growth of the children over time.
