Footage taken at home on Bridge Street in Dracut, Massachusetts as well as the family's summer lake house on Rangely Lake in Maine. Film starts with harness racing and automobiles on the frozen lake, followed by kids playing in yard at the Dracut house, bordered by farmland and an apple orchard. The kids swim in a small pool and a golden retriever is out with them. The next clip is a birthday indoors, in 1954, followed by a drive up to Maine in 1955, with scenery and the car is pulling a boat, which they use later for fishing and water skiing. Back in Dracut the family has a Thanksgiving dinner and later Christmas dinner, followed by kids opening presents in the morning. Landscape shots include camps on the lake. There is a lot of fishing footage including fish being gutted. There are also shots of kids in costumes.
