The Rostron Kershaw Collection

Born in Lowell on December 23, 1917, Rostron Kershaw was a renowned pipe organ builder, and the owner of the Kershaw Pipe Organ Company. During his life Kershaw built thousands of organs for churches all over the United States. He was a member of the American Guild of Organists, as well as a veteran of the Pacific Theater in WWII. This collection brings together photographs of Kershaw's work, as well as correspondences and business documents covering the existence of the Kershaw Company from the late-1940s to the 1970s. Kershaw died in Chelmsford on March 30, 1970.
