Born in Lowell on December 23, 1917, Rostron Kershaw was a well-known pipe organ builder, and the proprietor of the Kershaw Pipe Organ Company. Kershaw built or refurbished many pipe organs for churches in the greater Lowell area and eastern Massachusetts. Kershaw was a World War II veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater in WWII and a member of the American Guild of Organist. This collection brings together business documents, correspondence and photographs of Kershaw's work from the Kershaw Company from the late-1940s to the 1970s. Kershaw died in Chelmsford on March 30, 1970.
