The “Edson” Books
In the 1920’s Frank Flanders, a Civil War Veteran, was the city Superintendent of Soldiers’ Graves.  He undertook to record the burial sites of all soldiers in the cemeteries of Lowell.  This information was recorded in a series of notebooks, two for Edson Cemetery, two for St. Patrick’s Cemetery, and one for the Lowell Cemetery.  These volumes today are in the custody of the Edson Cemetery.
