STATEMENT ON EVALUATION OF STUDENT WORK
This new requirement asks faculty to indicate on their syllabus how student work will be evaluated. It is not required that you include a rubric in the syllabus, although you may. It is enough to simply state to students when and how you will publish information for them about evaluation criteria for major assignments. This information may be placed under its own heading or included with other elements of your grading policy.

EXAMPLE #1
Each essay assignment will be accompanied by a detailed handout and a grading rubric.

EXAMPLE #2
The grade for each essay will be determined on the basis of a set of criteria specific to that assignment. You will always find these on the assignment sheet and posted on the course wiki.
