Joseph L. "Joel" Andrews, M.D., a physician, author and activist, lives in Concord, Massachusetts. He is a freelance writer for the Boston Globe, author of Revolutionary Boston, Lexington and Concord: the Shots Heard 'Round the World!, founding Director of Concord Guides Walking Tours: "Revolution, Renaissance and Renewal" and an active member of the Thoreau and Emerson Societies. He is Lecturer in Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
