UMass Lowell - West Campus - Student Project

Richardson Hall

Taken by Gabriel DeBettencourt.

Richardson Hall is one of the buildings UMass Lowell obtained when they established West Campus, but did not use it; it was damaged by fire a few years earlier.

Currently, there is no information about the buildings origin at the truancy school and what purpose it served. No photos of the inside of the building currently exist. UMass Lowell did have plans to completely renovate Richardson Hall so that it could be used as a demonstration elementary school (Francis). Due to the extensive damage and the steep cost in renovations, the plan was scrapped (Pierson).
