Despite the worrying name similarity, PICO is not an eating disorder, but a way to remember the four elements of a good clinical question, (problem statement).
P - Population/Patient/Problem - Description of the problem as you observe it in a patient population or institutional setting
I - Intervention: what do I think could be done about it?
C - Comparison: what (if anything) is being done about the problem currently? Where does this differ from my proposed intervention?
O - Outcome: What is my goal? What improvement will result?
