Publishing Open Access increases the reach and impact of your research. The UML Library actively pursues agreements with academic publishers to allow UMass Lowell authors to publish Open Access at no cost to them.

American Chemical Society

• UML has a Read & Publish agreement with the American Chemical Society.
• All ACS journals have an Open Access publishing option available.

American Society for Microbiology

• UML participates in the ASM's Subscribe to Open (S2O) model, unlocking open access to ASM’s six primary research, subscription-based journals.
• UML authors published in these journals will not pay article processing charges, although page fees will still apply.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

• UML has a Read & Publish agreement with ACM.
• All ACM journals have an open access publishing option for eligible article types.

• UML has a Transformative Agreement established with IOP.

• UML has a Transformative Agreement established with Wiley.
• All Wiley Gold and Hybrid journals have an Open Access publishing option available.

The UMass Lowell Open Access Publishing Fund (OAPF) is a partnership between the Office of Sustainability and the UMass Lowell University Library.
