Publishing Open Access increases the reach and impact of your research. The UML Library actively pursues agreements with academic publishers to allow UMass Lowell authors to publish Open Access at no cost to them.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

• UML has a Read & Publish agreement with ACM.
• All ACM journals have an open access publishing option for eligible article types.

• UML has a Read & Publish agreement with the Company of Biologists.
• All five Company of Biologists journals have an open access publishing option.

Institute of Physics (IOP) Journals

• UML has a Transformative Agreement established with IOP.
• Many journals published by IOP have an open access publishing option

Wiley Journals

• UML has a Transformative Agreement established with Wiley.
• All Wiley Gold and Hybrid journals have an Open Access publishing option available.
• If the Open Access icon is on the journal you choose, authors can opt for Open Access publishing when submitting their manuscript.
