The library represents the probity of the university. In adhering to the highest ideals of scholarship and teaching, the university relies on its library to maintain access to information and scholarship crucial to these goals.

The staff of the UMass Lowell libraries is committed to supporting the process of scholarship and its transmission in the classroom. We deliver this support in a variety of ways and look forward to collaborating with faculty in fulfilling their needs.

Service and Resource Highlights

The UMass Lowell libraries are supported by world class discovery services, combined with skilled, dedicated fulfillment staff.

For Journal literature, faculty at UMass Lowell have the advantage of Ebsco Discovery Service, indexing 600 million articles.

For books and e-books, the immense collection in Worldcat is available, searching 330 million records. Partnered with the library's Interlibrary Loan service, items can be available in 24 hours.

In addition, the library subscribes to Endnote, citation management software.
