Students, Staff Have Access

Staff and Students from UMass Lowell have full access to the online editions of the following publications. Simply click the link below and authenticate using your university credentials.

Back Issues of Lowell Sun via Pollard Library

From the Pollard Library webite, students can register for either a physical card in person or an ecard online – https://lowelllibrary.org/services/uml-ecard/ - this link is specifically for UML students, staff, and faculty.

Once you have the card, you can access back issues of the Lowell Sun online using Newsbank - http://infoweb.newsbank.com/signin/SamuelSPollardMemorialLibrary - you will need a card number to use it.

Students can also view the Eagle Tribune and other papers from the area in Newsbank. Most of this is text only, so pictures would have to be requested to the reference department (adultref@lowelllibrary.org) if they are needed. Microfilm Reader available by reservation, call 978-674-4120. Four microfilm readers and one electronic microfilm scanner are located on the second floor.  Printing is available at $.25 per copy. There is no charge for scanning—bring your own thumb drive.

eCards take a few days lead time (3-5), so apply sooner rather than later.
