Wells Twombly was an award winning sports writer. His book, 200 Years of Sport in America: A Pageant of a Nation At Play, is part of the Upton Bell Collection at UMass Lowell Libraries in O'Leary Library, 2nd Floor Special Collections and includes an inscription from the author.
