Like MLA citation style, the APA style requires particular formats for the many types of media used in research. Use the websites below to copy the reference list formats for your sources. For best results be methodical and double check each citation.
The bibliography in APA Style is called the reference list. (APA does not use or require bibliographies).
The APA requires detailed formatting of the reference list. Check whether your instructor has specific requirements for the annotations but in general the process is the same as for an MLA annotated bibliography: a bibliographic reference (in APA style) followed by an annotation.
Items in an annotated bibliography in APA style should appear in alphabetical order, as they do in a reference list. The annotations appear in a new paragraph below its reference entry, indented 0.5 inches from the left margin.
