Commonwealth Collections

Guide to shared Massachusetts eBook, Audiobook and Streaming Video collections

The UMass Lowell Libraries are pleased to announce that we have joined the Commonwealth Collections, a project among the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and participating libraries that increases access to ebooks, audiobooks, and streaming video. The first of its kind in the country, you can learn more about this innovative collaboration here.

The Commonwealth Collections are powered by Rakuten OverDrive. Users are able to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from the OverDrive collections of participating libraries. A free mobile app, Libby, makes it easy to find and borrow great titles from all participating lenders. Libby is available for download from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Microsoft Store.
