Limited User E-Books

The e-books linked below have limits on how many people can use them at one time. You might click on the book link and find you cannot open the book. This just means you have to wait for some period of time until it is available. These books can not be checked out.

Once you get access to the book, you are permitted to download a set number of pages. Use the orientations in this guide to find out how to do this. Note that the download limits will reset if you log out of your "session", in other words, close the book. You will be able to download another set number of pages.

For instance the ebook does not offer highlight functionality unless faculty and students sign in. You can create and save notes by logging into your  EBSCOhost folder.

The publisher permissions vary between 60-100 pages and this allows the patron to take up to that page limit with no log-in or software requirement.  For EBSCO eBooks, the publisher permissions are set up by session, so that multiple patrons can take up to 60 pages at any time and they refresh once the eBook is closed.  So if you need another section or chapter, you can grab an additional 60 pages that same day or another time.
You can also email chapters to yourself one at a time.
