Twitter and Facebook for Professional Use

How do i edit the appearance of my profile?

Upon initial set-up of your Facebook profile, you will be brought to your home page (the icon with your picture next to your name on the top menu). This is your portal into all things customizing. Here, you are able to update your about, education, work, photos, friends, likes and more. Before even reading on, try your hand at exploring the features of Facebook - while numerous, they are straightforward and will provide you with some basics before getting into the specifics.
See below for specifics on how to edit your profile.

You will see a menu bar similar to the one shown here. Your Timeline is a record of things you've posted, shared, friends, photos, etc. This is essentially your home profile screen. The next tab, About, is where most of your personal info is stored. Friends displays who you are friends with. Photos are any photos you've upload or have been tagged in. Select More to add sections to this main bar, such as  Likes, Events, Notes, etc. "View Activity Log" shows you all of your activity on Facebook, including comments you've made, posts, likes, etc. The more icon (···) displays options to view your timeline as someone specific or the public, change your timeline settings, or add a badge. All of these topics will be explored in this guide.

You can change both your profile picture and your cover photo from your home page. Simply click the camera icon on either of the two. You will have options to take a photo with a webcam, upload a new photo from your computer, or add a photo from your Facebook photos.

Select the "About" tab or "Update Info" icon to begin adding your personal details. On the left side you will see a menu bar with multiple options including Work and Education, Places You've Lived, Contact and Basic Info and Details About You. Explore these tabs and options. To edit any of these, select "Add Your_____". A pop-up will appear displaying different options based on your selections.

Updating contact info, education, work place and an about you is a great place to start in terms of a professional Facebook profile.
