Chelmsford Public Library Events

  • Dick Howe spoke for the Chelmsford Public Library Friday Morning Lecture Series on January 13.  Video will soon be posted for those who did not make the event.
  • The Chelmsford Public Library One Book program feature's Tony Horwitz's books Midnight Rising: John Brown and the Raid That Sparked the Civil War and Confederates in the Attic.  He, and Geraldine Brooks will be speaking at the library on May 12.  See their webpage to learn more about other related Civil War programs.  They will be giving copies of Confederates in the Attic to those who come to their Feb. 3 Winter Fest event.

Lowell Area Events

  • The Tsongas Industrial History Center will be hosting a walking tour of Lowell in the Civil War on Saturday, April 28th
  • UMass Lowell Libraries and the Lowell Historical Society will be welcoming Civil War reenactors to speak about the research process and the value of libraries and archives.  More information to come.
